SPSS V 18 INSTALLATION ERROR CODE 1158 PASW Statistics 18

Are you trying to install PASW Statistics 18 and you keep getting a box with a code 1158 with an ok button and no text? Below is the solution.... Works like magic.

To solve this particular problem

  1. Create a folder on your hard drive and call it SPSS installation.
  2. Copy all the contents of your CD to your created folder.
  3. Open the folder SPSS installation Locate the executable (.exe) file in the windows folder and click on it.
  4. Continue with normal installation from there.
